2012 Tour De France Preview

Last year’s TDF saw history being made with Australia’s Cadel Evans overcoming Spaniard Alberto Contador and Luxembourg’s Andy Schleck to win his first and Australia’s first yellow jersey crown. His win captivated the Australian landscape and as this year’s race starts once again tonight, many will be spending late nights watching to see if the Aussie can make it back to back wins. This won’t be the only thing Australia will be looking out for as Australia’s first pro tour team Orica Green-edge also makes its debut in the Tour de France.

But what will happen in this year’s race? With no Contador – who is serving a two year ban after failing a drugs test – and no Andy Schleck because of an injury, the contenders for the Tour are well down on previous years. But that doesn’t rule out the fact that this could be one of the closest in year’s as the likes of Cadel Evan’s, Bradley Wiggins and Vincenzo Nibali and Denis Menchov all in contention if things go their way.

This preview will answer all that as well as who I think will win the other jersey’s including the Sprinters, King of the Mountains and Young Rider classification.

Wimbledon Preview ATP 2012

In this special preview for Wimbledon, I’ll look at who I believe will be the top 5 in the tournament on the men’s side.
