Aussies Abroad in ATP and WTA 20/8/2012- 26/8/2012

With the US Open just a week away much of the focus this week in the ATP and the WTA will be to qualify for the final Grand Slam tournament of the season.

Despite this there are still tournaement’s in both the ATP challenger and world tour with the WTA hosting two events this week as well. Add to this the ITF futures event’s in both the WTA and ATP and it promises to be another busy week of Aussies Abroad. Continue reading

English Premier League Preview 2012/13

Last year’s Premier League season was voted amongst the best in the 20 years of the competition. And why wouldn’t it be? Manchester City sealed their first ever title in the Premier League with two goals in the final 5 minutes to break the hearts of their cross town rivals Manchester United who felt that they had wrapped up the title. At the other end of the table Queens Park Rangers – who were the team involved against Manchester City – survived by the skin of their teeth with Bolton, Blackburn and Wolverhampton all going down to the Football League Championship. It was the first time in a long time that all three promoted sides from the year before – Swansea, Norwich and QPR – all remained in the Premier League at the end of the season. Continue reading
