Sam Stosur’s performance at the Doha WTA tour event headlines another week of Aussies Abroad with the Australian making the final losing to world number 1 Victoria Azarenka. That wasn’t all that happened with other Australians competing in the WTA event in Bogota and the ATP event in San Jose. Aussies Abroad in WTA and ATP Feb 14 – Feb 20

It was another busy week for Aussies Abroad in both the WTA and ATP with plenty going on both here and abroad. This week we’ll look back at that including Australia’s Davis Cup victory over China, an Australian win at Caloundra in the ATP Challenger Tour and how the women did at the WTA tour events at both Paris and Pattaya City. Following this we’ll look at this week which includes the rankings and the tournaments which involves Australians in WTA events in Bogota and Doha as well as the ATP event in San Jose.

Aussies Abroad in WTA and ATP FEB 6- FEB 12

Despite no WTA tour events and no Aussies in the ATP tour events in Zagreb, Montpellier and Vina Del Mar in Chile, it has still been a busy week for Aussies Abroad in the WTA and the ATP. The Fed Cup team played and defeated the Swiss in Switzerland, while many competed at Burnie in both the men’s and women’s singles. This week we look at both of those events in review and also look at what’s making news during the last week. Finally we’ll look at the rankings and also look at what’s occurring this week on the tennis scene including the Davis Cup, two WTA tour events involving Australians as well as a challenger event in Caloundra on Australia’s Sunshine Coast.
